'This industry excites me, in a
Big Kev kind of way! I don’t know of anything more powerful
than good health. It influences our behaviour, moods, energy,
concentration, ability to relate to ourselves and others, our
performance longevity, happiness…just to begin with. From a
business point of view, staying driven to excel in health and
fitness is not difficult. Not only has the industry
experienced tremendous growth over the past decade but more
importantly, there is still so much to develop, invent and
innovate. Slaice, along with its partners will be
playing a leading role in what’s to come'.

MANDI'S
PHILOSOPHY:
- When it
comes to the importance of health and what it can do for an
individual, some people will get it, others won’t. It’s best
to ‘get it’ independent of illness, injury or pain.
- You must
look after yourself first. You owe it to yourself and those
around you to 'show up' in the best possible condition –
physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.
- Being
healthy is not about being perfect all the time, it’s about
minimizing the frequency and extent of deviation, as much as
possible
- Nutrition
is at the centre of good health. One’s ability to do anything
well in the 7 Streams spectrum is largely dependent on one’s
nutritional habits.
- Exercising
is an opportunity for valuable 'you' time - it's not a chore.
I used to turn up to training to be with my friends first and
foremost and we just happened to exercise when we were
together. We got fit, we were consistent but most of all we
had fun. Make it work for you as exercise will leave you
feeling great.
- Recovery
is going to become one of the biggest growth areas in health and
fitness. Unless people take time out from their quest to be
superman/woman they will actually move themselves further and
further away from their performance goals.
- Your
attitude and commitment to health is dependent on your environment
– at home, work or place of study.
- Action is
your responsibility. You will always be able to
find a good health teacher and this is important, they need to hold
your hand to a certain point but then it’s all you! Change
comes from knowledge and consistent
action.
- Making
changes to your health habits is actually simple. Small steps
for big rewards.
- Great
health doesn’t happen overnight. Leaders, managers, students,
athletes spend considerable amounts of time becoming good in their
respective roles. Why should your role of a healthy person be
any different?
